The Flip

He was a boy of mere innocence
He would never hurt anybody.
That perception changed
When bullets went through his body.
His brother always looked after him
Best friend and second father.
Had his best interest at heart,
But he always thought him a bother.
Everyday he'd make him mad,
Always wanted payback,
Never saw the little things
That would happen behind his back.
Good or bad,
It don't matter cause his hands
Covered w/ blood.
"Big brother why you leave me
This time you in the underworld."
He unleashed the beast
And every other demon w/in him
Wrecking the dresser drawers,
Closets,
Beds,
and any other denim w/ in them
What would he do that for,
He had everything in his life?
Money,
Clothes,
A car,
And his family cared for him right.
"What am I missing?"
Then he looked on the floor
And saw a diary.
He never knew his bro kept secrets
So he took a peek.
Took it upon himself
To find what the meaning
Would be.
Flipping through the pages he stopped...,
"What could this be?"
What made him stop
Is the fact that he just saw his own name.
Read a little bit more
Then he saw his name again.
He could tell bro was sad
Cause the pages were wet from tears.
Never thought he would be sad
He never thought he would have fears.
So he read some again
Then he even started to weep.
Turned his head toward him
And moved a little bit closer.
And in speech,
He quotes the book out loud,
"What should I do now
cause in time i will become a bogus brother.
Not what I had in mind.
I am who I am
I be who I be
I act how I act
And I can't change it it's me.
So if I take my life
And settle this right now,
He can live peacefully now."
Little brother said, "Why?!"
Then he picked up the gun himself.
He cocked it back real quick
And said, "You're not by yourself."
He pushed the book closed
And laid it on his chest.
As he laid adjacent to him
He pulled the trigger
As his eyes flipped back from death...
